Lizzo’s gap year in Bali

Lizzo is doing life the right way.

The queen of body positivity and flute jams, decided she needed a break.

And not just any break—a full-on, lush escape in Bali, Indonesia.

POV: And I’m here for all of it!

After hitting a rough patch—depression started creeping in from back pain and burnout, also the constant online negativity wasn’t helping.

But instead of letting it get her down, Lizzo did what any boss would do … she took a year off and headed to Bali.

So every now and then she will post on Instagram, clips of her time there.

You can see her jumping rope, drinking protein shakes and lifting weights.

She also got into a daily routine of beach walks, Pilates, and just soaking up the good vibes.

As they say in the streets, she’s going from “fluffy to fit”, in a beautiful way and we love to see it.

She explained that she simply wants to live a healthy lifestyle and focus on her mental health.

Even though it’s not her goal, by the time she returns with her dramatic weight loss, I don’t know if we’ll even recognize her.

With all that fresh air and coconut water, she’s glowing and smiling like she just discovered the secret to eternal happiness and a lifetime supply of free Wi-Fi.

Kudos to Lizzo!

I truly commend her for pushing through and staying the course. Because it would be hard to avoid the temptation of a tropical forest, pristine beaches and the Bali sun.

If you ask me, I would be at every waterfall, rice terrace, jungle swing and hot spring like it’s my full-time job; while eating my way through the city.

She’s out there reminding everyone that self-care isn’t just about bubble baths; it’s about healing, both mentally and physically.

It got me thinking—why can’t we all add a gap year to our bucket lists?

And maybe it’s not a whole year, but a girl can dream.

You don’t have to be a celebrity to take a break.

  1. Sometimes, you need to step away to protect your peace.
  2. Finding joy in small daily rituals can make a big difference (especially while in Bali! ?)
  3. Life waits for no one—live out your dreams.

Self-care can be a fun, integral part of life rather than an additional stress-inducing chore.

POV: Second guessing my entire life as to how I can take a gap year in Bali.
